Butter Twists

This is Martha Stewart's recipe. These are really good and easy to make.

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 large egg white
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake, rotating halfway through, until cookies just begin to turn golden, 13 to 15 minutes. Let cool on parchment on wire racks.
Mix butter and sugar in a bowl on medium. Mix in vanilla and egg white. Reduce speed to low. Add salt and flour and mix.
Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls. Roll each ball into a 6-inch log.
Bend log in half, then twist. Space 1 inch apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Bake, rotating halfway through, until cookies just begin to turn golden, 13 to 15 minutes. Let cool on parchment on wire racks.
Enjoy! You can also sprinkle cinnamon over them before baking.

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

I make these for my grandpa all the time and he loves them. They are very simple to make.

1 cup peanut butter (any kind, but I prefer extra crunchy)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg

Heat oven to 350.
Mix peanut butter and sugar until well mixed.
Add egg and mix well.
Drop tablespoons of dough onto a cookie sheet or greased aluminum foal.
Cook 5-7 minutes.

It's easy as that. Enjoy!

Rice Krispies Treats

For my first post, I'm going to start off with something easy. If you love those Rice Krispies snacks you buy in a package, then you will love these twice as much! My family and I love them.

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 ounce package of miniature marshmallows (or 4 cups)
3 Tablespoons butter

Melt butter in microwave.

Add marshmallows and stir.

Place in microwave until marshmallows are completely melted.

Add cereal and stir quickly.

Grease a pan (use whatever size you want depending on the thickness) and press the mixture with a buttered or greased spatula.

Cut into squares and serve.

If you are looking for a lower calorie version, use light butter. I tried it and it worked just as well.
